Sending "Pots" of Love

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was lovely with lots of sun and time to relax :-)

Today I want to share an OLC (= one layer card) with you that I made with the stamp sets "In The Garden" and "In The Garden Additions" by SC Designs for Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

I stamped the pot with Memento in "Pottery Clay", and the heart "flowers" with Memento in "Love Letter". I then drew the stems with a Memento Marker in "New Sprout" and stamped the leave with a Memento ink pad in "New Sprout".

The sentiment was inked with Versafine in "Onyx Black" and I stamped it right over the pot :)

The lower right corner of the card was rounded with a "Corner Chomper" tool and to finish the card I put some rhinestones here and there :-)

Please refer to the grey box below this post for a detailed list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Imagine Crafts, Authentique and May Arts Blog Hop: Make Some Noise

AP_MayArts_Badge

Welcome to a crafting extravaganza all week featuring myself and other Artists In Residence from IMAGINE Crafts, along with the Design Team Members of Authentique Paper and May Arts Ribbon.

I have used some of the adorable Authentique "Radiant" papers from the 6x6 paper pack, a sticker from the "Radiant Components" sheet, a super pretty floral sheer ribbon and a length of twine in coordinating colors from May Arts!

The inks I have used to stamp the sentiment are a combination of Memento Luxe Marocco and Memento Luxe Lilac Posies. The circles were stamped with Memento Pistachio and Memento Teal Zeal (I first inked the stamp with Pistachio, then added some Teal Zeal, before I stamped it, to get this "personalized" color to match the blue color in the patterned paper).

Here are today’s other featured Artists In Residence projects:

There' more inspiration to be found on the Authentique Paper and May Arts blogs!  Simply visit these blogs to view the projects created by those company's design teams and to view the other prizes available.

Hello, Hello...

Hi everyone and happy Wednesday :)

Today I am sharing a clean and simple (and easy to create) card using stencils and stamps and -of course- some of my beloved Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko inks :)

I actually did this card for a step-by-step blog post on the Imagine Crafts blog in August, but didn't share it here on my personal blog. To make up leeway, here it is :-D

To see how this card was created, please visit the Imagine Crafts Blog, where you can find detailed instructions including pictures of the steps.

Please refer to the grey box below for a list of supplies!

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Celebrate Life

Hi everyone and happy Tuesday :)

Today I am excited to share my first card as a DT member for Clearly Whimsy Stamps! Clearly Whimsy Stamps is part of the Whimsy Stamps family :)

The making of this card was really simple: Just 1 or 2 spritzes of Imagine Crafts irRESISTible texture spray in New Sprout, paired with some beautiful stamps from the Clearly Whimsy Stamps "Happy Everything" set and the gorgeous "Butterfly Border Die" cut border from SC Designs!
That's it :)
I hope you forgive me saying this, but I am really pleased with the result :)

Of course you can change the sayings and make a Birthday, Get Well, Congratulations or any other type of card! And using other colors from the large palette of irRESISTible texture sprays also can change the mood of your card.

BTW: If you don't like the little "air bubbles" in the texture spray (see close up blow), you can easily remove them by just using a needle and prick into these bubbles while they are wet :) Personally, I thought they add some extra texture and interest.. therefore I didn't care about removing them :)

Please refer to the grey boxes below this post for step-by-step instructions and a complete list of supplies :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope to see you here on my blog again, soon :)

Imagine Crafts / Tsukineko + Magenta Blog Hop

Hi everyone and happy Monday :)

Welcome to a week of fantastic collaboration between IMAGINE Crafts and Magenta Rubber Stamps! Both companies are excited to share with you their products, from the latest inks from IMAGINE Crafts to the newest Fall and Holiday stamp releases from Magenta.

And here is my project:

    Supplies:

Instructions:

Stamp the Magenta "Noel" image with Versamark ink on a plain white panel of cardstock and heat emboss it with Imagine Crafts white embossing powder.

Pick up some Memento inks in Love Letter with an Ink Blusher tool and also some Memento inks in Tangelo and colore the card front.
Move right over the entire area, even over the embossed image. The embossed lines act like a resist and will not get colored.
You can go over the embossed lines with a damp cloth in the end if you want to.

"Distress" - or I better should say: color all edges of the panel with Delicata Golden Glitz ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Pick up some Delicata Golden Glitz ink with a Fanastix brush and color in the star and the bell.

Use Memento markers in Tangelo to color the inside potions of the embossed "Noel" letters. Then use the Rhubarb Stalk marker to create some shading.

Memento marker in Dandelion was used to color the swirls and all of the lighter areas in the embossed image and also to highlight the letters on the outside, to let them stand out against the red background a little better.

The potions on the image that should be white (like the braid of the hat and the melting wax on the candle), will be filled in with the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress.

To create the faux stitched border, use a ruler as a guide and poke wholes all around the panel. Then use the irRESISTible Pico Embellisher in Wedding Dress (white) again to create the "stitches".

Cut a length of neutral (off-white) seam binding and dye it with Memento Luxe inks in Tangelo and Dandelion and the help of an Ink Blusher tool.
Heat set it with a heat tool and let it cool, before wrapping it around the card and tieing into a bow.

Almost done... just add some enamel dots here and there and mount the layer onto the card front with foam tape.

And here is an additional close up to show you the faux stitching and some of the other details :)
